Megan Whelen is a graphic designer and abstract painter living on Salt Spring Island, BC. In contrast to the precision of her design work, her paintings are fluid and intuitive, an outlet where fluid dynamics and texture take the lead.

With contrast, angles and earthy hues, Megan strives to evoke feelings of awe, gravity, and reverence, as if standing in an old-growth forest at golden hour. Her work is heavily inspired by the natural landscapes in British Columbia.

Her paintings reject irony and embrace honesty, inviting viewers into a space of openness and hope.
